She hasn’t raced in Italy since last November 2nd, when she won the international Trofeo Città di Firenze. And on Sunday 4th December the junior Valentina Corvi returned to delight the Italian supporters by finishing the 38th GP Città di Vittorio Veneto in fourth place, fighting with the strongest italian elites, as Silvia Persico, bronze medal in the world championship 2022, Eva Lechner and Rebecca Gariboldi.

An indication that the experiences gained abroad in recent months are bearing fruit.

«Racing among the elites, on a technical track like the one in Vittorio Veneto, can be a chance to increase my engine power», confirms the 17-year-old directed and trained by Luca Bramati.«For this reason I start out strong, trying to keep up with the strongest athletes; I paid something in the second half of the race, but that's okay: I learned something today too».

What is Valentina, who made her debut among the Elites in the World Cup a week ago, learning from the many international competitions held so far?
«Results and medals aren’t not the most important things. In these two years I have learned to manage the races with greater coolness, without getting caught up in the frenzy and without getting upset after the mistakes that, on difficult tracks like those in Belgium or Holland, can be made».

In addition to Valentina Corvi, in Vittorio Veneto raced also Lucia Bramati, who took the sixth consecutive top 10 in a class C2 race, finishing ninth overall and fourth among the U23s.

As always, the start of the 19-year-old from Sandrigo was excellent. Lucia, who isn’t yet in her best shape, had to slow the pace in the second half of the race: to improve her fitness, Lucia will compete soon in other two international competitions in Italy.

On Thursday, Trinx Factory Team will be at the start at the 20th Ciclocross del Ponte in Faè di Oderzo and, next Sunday, it will race the 4th Gran Premio Internazionale Città di Jesolo. Then it will be time to focus again on the World Cup, which will have its Italian round on the snow of Vermiglio on Sunday 17 December.
