VERMIGLIO (TN) – First top 20 in the Cyclocross World Cup for Trinx Factory Team, which in the Italian round of the major international circuit sees the Under 19 Valentina Corvi finish in 17th position, second of the athletes born in 2005.

In her second race among the elite, and her first experience on the snow of Val di Sole, the 17-year-old from Tirano did a solid and constant performance: Valentina (in Alessio Pederiva photography) was able to stay in the group in contention for the 15th place.

«Today I felt much more at ease compared to the tests», explained the athlete from Tirano. «Yesterday the snow was fresh, with many gullies, and it was difficult to keep the bike in line. Today there was much more ice, but the bike flowed along the straight».

How do you understand the track changes? «You have to discover it lap by lap; then slowly you can open the gas, without overspeed: in this cold, it would have been fatal».

Best seasonal result (and second best career placement in a World Cup race) also for Lucia Bramati (credit Alessio Pederiva), who finished in 23rd position. As usual, the 19-year-old did a great start from the rear, which projected her into third position, among the best athletes of the world.

In the second part of the race, Lucia Bramati managed the energies and the pitfalls of the course, achieving an important international placement. «Today at the start I was lucky enough: in the first bend on the ice many bikers slipped and I found a hole to overpass them», explains the athlete directed by Luca Bramati. «In the second half of the race I tried to drive carefully, without making too many mistakes: the route, in fact, was totally different from last year and also from the eve practice round; on the one hand you could push more on the straight, but there were corners that were really difficult to stand on».

Now the two Trinx Factory Team’s athletes will separate: for the young Valentina Corvi a short rest before the italian race in Turin on December 28th. Lucia, on the other hand, will spend Christmas in Belgium for the last workload before the Italian Championships in Ostia Antica on January 15th.
