Many high-level international experiences (and a few too many flat tyres) marked the weekend for the athletes of the Trinx Factory Team, who were divided between the Ötztaler Mountainbike Festival, a Hors Category event held in Haiming (Austria), and Capoliveri, the venue for the fifth stage of the Italia Bike Cup circuit.
The decision to split across two race venues was made to allow the young riders to refine their condition in view of the now imminent first European round of the World Cup, scheduled in Nove Mesto in two weeks.
In Austria, Lucia Bramati got good indications about her shape for the upcoming events, at least in the first part of the race. In the first laps, she was able to defend a top 10 in the Open category, but a puncture far from the pit box spoiled the party for the Under 23 rider from Sandrigo, forcing her into a race in pursuit that ended in 13th position.
The demanding Tyrolean track, on the other hand, put U19 Alice Pascucci to the test: yesterday the seventeen years old finished 37th in the race valid for the Uci Junior Series.
Tough race also for the Belgian Sverre Van Lee (U23 category) and the elite Cristian Bernardi, who had to deal with intestinal problems during the race.
