A single World Cup race was enough to make a quantum leap for young Antonia Grangl: the 18-year old Austrian from the Trinx Factory Team, fresh from her first weekend in the UCI World Series in Nove Mesto, finished second at the Internationaler Raiffeisen Österreich Grand Prix, a C1 class race held in Windhaag bei Perg.
Only her compatriot Mona Mitterwallner, already a four-time world champion in the XCO and Marathon specialties, preceded the athlete directed by Luca Bramati; a remarkable performance for Antonia, especially if one takes into account the gaps – she was only 21 seconds behind the winner – and the value of the athletes who placed behind her, such as Sophia Knaubert, Clara Sommer and the experienced Nadja Heigl.

In short, another demonstration of the talent of this new athlete of the Trinx Factory Team, who, once his school commitments are over, will be able to raise the bar even further.
However, the rest of the team was not left in the pits on the last Saturday of May, characterised in Italy by the National Championships of the short track specialty, scheduled in La Salle, and the Italian round of the City Mountainbike Eliminator Series, an international circuit that returns to the Belpaese after 13 years.
In the national race in Valle d’Aosta, Lucia Bramati placed sixth in the Open race, won by Martina Berta, while Laura Squarise finished seventh and best of the Under 23 athletes. Alice Pascucci finished twelfth, fifth among the Under 23 athletes.
In the U19 race, with many athletes at the start, first-year Thobias Del Ponte joined the group, finishing his effort in 29th place.
Thobias's little sister, Zoe Del Ponte, lived another great day. After the placements in the XCO specialty in 2025 and in cyclocross in January 2026, Zoe continued her string of Italian medals by finishing third in the U16s race.
In Pieve di Soligo, in the province of Treviso, Pietro Cao once again jumped on the podium, confirming his prowess in the Eliminator specialty after his success in Santa Lucia di Piave. This time, the young Venetian biker, in his first year in the Under 23 category, placed third, facing some of Europe's best specialists.
Marco Bramati also performed well, winning the B final and finishing fifth.
